ABOUT WEST GAMBIER NETBALL CLUB INC.

West Gambier Netball Club joined the Western Border Netball Association upon it's formation in 1984. In the inaugural year, the Club fielded two senior teams in the A Grade and B Grade competitions. In 1986 the C Grade competition was added, followed by the A Reserve competition in 1989. In 1990 the Association was expanded to include a junior competition comprising of 15/Under and 17/Under age groups, with the 13/Under age group being introduced in 2000. This was followed in later years by an A and B division for 13/Under and 15/Under, as well as 11/Under competition. In 2019 the club introduced the Net Set Go Program for 5-10 year olds.

Since 1984, the Club has won 19 premierships (17 senior and 2 junior) and in recent years has achieved a number of accolades including:

Western Border Netball Association Most Improved Club

2018:

Recognised as a STARCLUB by the Office for Recreation and Sport

Achieved Level Three Good Sports Program Accreditation

Awarded "Good Sports National Rookie Club of the Year"
